The Mask Filter can be attached to a camera lens to create a 'filter' between subject and viewer. 'Mask-Filters' are a series of 'sculptures' which are to be looked 'through' rather than 'at'. Conceived as the means to record events created through Chodzko's practice each 'mask-filter' is to be attached to the lens of a camera, therefore functioning as both mask and filter between viewer and subject.
Secretors 1993- 1996
Lead crystal, manifestation juice,
plastic containers and acrylic.
Approx. 60cm x 10cm x 7cm each
Secretors are inserted into corners of the architecture of the exhibition space as a form of seepage.
