The photograph on the billboard within the image is from the Next Meeting series.
For the Next Meeting series Chodzko used tourists ‘amateur’ images on 35mm slides taken on their travels in the 1950’s – early 1980’s, and juxtaposed them with travel directions from tourist guides published during this same period. Each work in this series just has one location in the world where it is exhibited in a remote but public place.
